Dan Fanelli, principal of Elmhurst, Illinois-based Darwin Realty & Development Corporation, died earlier this month. Visitation is being held May 11 at Salerno’s Roadside Chapels, 450 Lake St., in Roselle.
Fanelli’s funeral services will be held May 12 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Melrose Park.
Fanelli joined Darwin Realty & Development Corporation as a salesman in 1982. He was a consistent top-producer, brokering hundreds of transactions on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and national developers.
Fanelli was a longtime member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate and the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors. He worked in the real estate industry for more than 40 years.
“Dan was an example of what a man should be in business, hard-working, knowledgeable, loyal to his customers and pleasant in his dealings with other brokers,” said George Cibula, founder of Darwin Realty. “If I had a child in the brokerage end of the business, I’d want Dan to be their mentor.”
