Darwin Realty & Development Corporation announced that Darwin Vice President Adam Haefner, and Associate Laura Pawlowski, represented TJ Wire Forming, Inc. in the acquisition of 824 Kay Avenue in Addison, Illinois, a 10,400-square-foot industrial facility on 0.48 acres. Joyce Slone of Slone Commercial represented the seller Chicago Title Land Trust Company.

TJ Wire Forming is a manufacturer of wire products. This acquisition represents an expansion for the firm. Additionally, the company is relocating from its current location at 1500 Wrightwood Court in Addison. The new facility features an 18-foot clear ceiling height, abundant power, two drive-in doors, 1,100-square-foot office space on the first floor and excellent access to interstates 355 and 290.

“This is another example of a privately held manufacturing firm expanding in the Chicago market,” said Haefner. “Buildings in this size range continue to be absorbed and pricing will continue to appreciate as this trend continues.”

This is the second transaction for Darwin in the DuPage County community of Addison. The firm was involved in the disposition of 330 South Fairbank Street, Addison, a 34,688-square-foot industrial facility, which was acquired by Fieldsource Construction, an interior demolition and remodeling firm.
