One of Minneapolis-based Davis’ new developments has been named a winner in the HREI Insights Awards, an annual awards program that recognizes excellence in healthcare real estate development and executive leadership nationwide.
Davis received the award for “Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities (25,000 to 49,999 square feet)” for the two-story, 41,613-square-foot 610 Medical. The Class-A medical office building and ambulatory surgery center is in Brooklyn Park, a northern Minneapolis suburb.
HREI executives presented the award to Davis March 1 during the Revista Medical Real Estate Investment Forum in Bonita Springs, Florida. Stewart Davis, Davis’ Executive Vice President – Acquisitions, accepted the award.
Mark Davis, Founder and Principal of the national healthcare real estate development, investment, brokerage and property management firm, said that the 610 Medical project team faced numerous challenges.
“We had to work under a tight timetable of only 12 months to meet the needs of our anchor tenant, which was a joint venture of Allina Health and Surgical Care Affiliates,” said Davis.
Davis was named a finalist in three of the nine categories of the 2022 HREI Insights Awards. In addition to 610 Medical, other finalist projects included Wayzata Specialty Center in Wayzata, Minnesota, and Xchange Medical in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. In addition, 610 Medical marks the third time a Davis project has been a winner in the 10-year history of the HREI Insights Awards.
The architect for 610 Medical was Minneapolis-based Synergy Architecture Studio and the general contractor was Timco Construction Inc., headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota.
