Dayton Street Partners has wrapped up leasing at its most recent development – a 43,860-square-foot industrial property located at 920 West Pershing Rd. in Chicago.
Trane U.S. (Trane), a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, has entered the Chicago market with a 24,950-square-foot lease at the development that will serve as the company’s Midwest distribution center.
Dayton Street Founder and Principal Howard Wedren worked closely with the 11th Ward Alderman Patrick D. Thompson to bring the world leader in air conditioning systems, services and solutions to the city.
“It is an honor to be in a position to bring a well-respected, best-in-class company to the 11th Ward,” Thompson said. “More importantly, I have a responsibility to help our residents by creating job opportunities. We are proud to accomplish both with this lease. I look forward to continue cultivating new partnerships with responsible developers, like Dayton Street, to bring them into our Ward, and work with them to realize our shared vision for progress in our communities.”
In addition, Dayton Street signed Stanley Steemer to a 18,910-square-foot lease – it’s the company’s first location in the city. The lease brings 50 new jobs to the city while bringing the building to 100% leased.
Dayton Street embarked on a $1.0 million renovation campaign in 2015 that transformed 920 W. Pershing Rd. into a functional, modern distribution facility. Today the 43,860-square-foot property boasts 20′ clear height ceiling, seven docks and two drive-in doors.
