The executive management team of Dermody Properties recently announced the recipients of the company’s annual Dermody Properties Thanksgiving Capstone Award. In the greater Chicago area, which is served by the company’s Midwest Region office, Sister Paulanne’s Needy Family Fund will receive $2,500 to respond to the needs of people in the community with resources such as food, clothing, diapers, formula and medication.

The Dermody Properties Thanksgiving Capstone Award is presented each year during the holiday season to help nonprofit organizations address the increased need many nonprofits experience during the holidays. The award was created by Dermody Properties as a way to give thanks at a special time of year.

Many people throughout the Chicago area struggle to meet basic needs every month, including food and shelter. The Needy Family Fund assists families and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties for a variety of reasons.

“It is imperative that we work together to build strong communities,” said Sister Paulanne Held. “Every day, we must work to make a person’s life better. This gift from Dermody Properties will help the Needy Family Fund do that.”
