Detroit’s District Capital launches capital markets platform

Detroit, Michigan-based District Capital has launched its Capital Markets and Servicing Platform to meet demand in the city’s hot commercial real estate market.

Kevin Kovachevich, owner and founder of District Capital, said that the new entity will be the only full-service mortgage banking firm headquartered in Detroit. The new division will be headquartered at 42 Watson St. in downtown Detroit.

“We’ve built an exceptional roster of young, yet seasoned, professionals who understand the market and our clients’ needs with a track record of leveraging key relationships to execute on behalf of our clients, with integrity,” said Kovachevich in a statement.

Joining the new firm are David Dismondy, loan origination; Crystal Kalinowski, closing and servicing; Justin Hollis, loan origination; Michael Lemon, anayltics and loan origination; and Suzanne Posuniak, administrative assistant.

Together, the team brings more than 50 years of experience and billions of dollars in loans originated, closed and serviced.
