Detroit-based commercial construction management firm Invictus Builders LLC added two new Grand Rapids-based leaders, brothers Nate Beene and Dr. Justin Beene, to the company’s board of directors and investor group.
The move further builds on the company’s “East-meets-West” leadership vision first established at the company’s launch in 2025.
The addition of the Beene’s represents the next phase of growth for Invictus as the company continues to expand its footprint across Michigan and the Midwest. Nate and Justin bring decades of experience in workforce solutions, construction-related entrepreneurship and community-focused leadership.
The brothers launched B2 (Building Bridges) Grounds Management in 2007 and have spent years supporting construction training and economic development initiatives across West Michigan, including bringing the YouthBuild construction training program to Grand Rapids in 2012. Their relationship with Invictus grew through a recent collaboration on the 1515 Madison Center of Innovation project, where shared values around quality work, workforce investment and community ownership led to a deeper partnership.
Invictus Builders was founded by Detroit construction leaders Matt Evans, CEO, and Kent Jackson, COO, with a vision of building a collaborative, community-focused commercial construction firm rooted in statewide leadership and partnership. Since its founding, Evans and Jackson have assembled a high-profile leadership team and board that bridges Michigan’s east and west sides, including Dennis Archer Jr., son of former Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, and Mike VanGessel, founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Grand Rapids-based Rockford Construction and founder of VG Investments and Voyage. The addition of Nate and Justin reinforces Invictus’ commitment to statewide collaboration, strategic growth and community-focused partnership.
