Detroit’s Sachse Construction makes two leadership changes

Detroit’s Sachse Construction has made two updates to its leadership team. Jay McKee will now serve as Sachse’s Vice President, Director of Pre-Construction, and Kevin Blind joins the leadership team through a promotion to Vice President of Commercial Operations.

McKee has been part of the Sachse team as a Vice President since October 2014 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry to his new role.

McKee previously served as the Vice President of Commercial Operations. In his time with Sachse, McKee has led the construction of various high-profile projects, including The Scott at Brush Park, The Michigan Humane Society, Bedrock Detroit’s headquarters, and renovations to the Detroit Athletic Club. He earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in civil engineering from the University of Toronto.

Blind has been with Sachse since 2010 and brings 20 years of experience to his new role.

During the last seven years, Blind has contributed to some of metro Detroit’s most notable projects, including the Detroit Foundation Hotel, Federal Mogul headquarters, Meridian Health Plan headquarters and The M@dison Building. He has also completed numerous projects for Quicken Loans and Bedrock Detroit. Blind earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Western Michigan University.
