North American real estate developer Intracorp has announced details for their next residential development in Austin to be located at 2209 South 1st Street in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood of South Austin. This new community, known as One Oak, will allow residents to enjoy both the natural beauty of Bouldin Creek and the dynamic energy of city life in one of the country’s most livable places. Home sales will begin in fall 2021 with construction set to start in early 2022.
Located at the corner of South First and Live Oak Street in 78704, the 2.7-acre property will consist of a four-story building featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. With 106 total residences, One Oak will include a mix of 8 live-work storefronts on the first floor, 88 homes on the second and third floors, and 10 exclusive penthouses on the fourth floor known as the Canopy Collection.
The community’s outdoor amenities take full advantage of One Oak’s serene location, featuring an expansive central courtyard overlooking Bouldin Creek with a negative-edge pool, private poolside cabanas, and outdoor grills & dining areas. Indoor amenities include a Creekhouse Lounge, fitness and recovery center, and private coworking offices.
Lead architect on the project is Chicago-based Pappageorge Haymes Partners, working with Austin-based Urban Foundry Architecture, who is also heading up interior design for the development. Hitchcock Design Group is the landscape architect, and Civilitude is the civil engineer. Austin-based Brandon Miller Group is handling sales and marketing services.
This announcement for One Oak comes swiftly on the heels of the topping off and sell-out of all available homes at 44 East Ave., Intracorp’s first project in Austin, the 49-story, 309-unit residential high-rise on the shore of Lady Bird Lake in the Rainey Street District of downtown. Intracorp has more future developments in Austin in the works that have yet to be announced.
