Jayhawk File Express has entered the Kansas City market with a 36,000-square-foot lease in Hunt Midwest‘s SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex.

Jayhawk File Express is among a growing number of archival and document storage companies that have opted to take advantage of SubTropolis’ hardened, 70° environment with 24/7 security. Other tenants include the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Underground Vaults & Storage and Recall.

Besides offering an ideal setting for document storage facilities, SubTropolis offers record storage tenants the ability to expand their footprint quickly to accommodate growing demand.

“Because SubTropolis is located underground, companies don’t have to wade through a time-consuming permitting process,” Mike Bell, Hunt Midwest vice president and general manager of industrial/commercial real estate, said. “Instead, companies can enjoy speed-to-market for new leases and expansions.”
