The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile recently unveiled a $35 million dollar hotel transformation that includes renovated guest rooms, lobby, meeting space and rooftop pool and terrace. The renovation introduced an in-room fitness equipment concept.
The architect for the refurbishment was McBride Kelley Baurer Architects, with The Getty’s Group conducting interior design duties. Bulley and Andrews was the general contractor.
Located at 300 E. Ohio Street, Chicago, the hotel improvements include an open-concept lobby, new HotHouse restaurant and bar and updated guest rooms. The 16,000 square feet of meeting space can accommodate up to 500 people and among the other improvements are increased internet bandwidth and the renovated rooftop pool deck with its views of the city skyline.
The newly refurbished hotel also includes the first “Five Feet to Fitness” rooms in Chicago, a convenient way for guests to exercise in the privacy of their room with over 11 different pieces of equipment. These rooms offer fitness equipment and accessory options including an indoor bike and a dynamic Gym Rax functional training station.
“From our new restaurant concept to beautifully renovated guestrooms, we’re excited to offer an elevated experience for both business and leisure travellers at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile,” said Eric Thieling, general manager. “With our upscale meeting and events spaces, we look forward to welcoming the community as they host gala events, weddings and conferences.”
Later this spring, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile will unveil a new collection of rooms, “The Mile,” located on the topmost floors. These luxurious rooms offer guests a refined, condominium-style studio or one-bedroom suite as their ideal urban oasis.
