Duke Realty Corp.’s Chicago office has announced that it has renewed leases with two longtime customers in Meridian Business Campus in Aurora. SMC Corp., a tenant since 2002, will remain in its 22,000-square-foot space at 858 Meridian Lakes Parkway, a 46,050-square-foot building it shares with UPS. Genera Corp., a manufacturer of automotive aftermarket replacement parts, also committed to a long-term lease renewal for the 192,000-square-foot building that Duke Realty built to their specifications in 2003. Genera opted to renew its lease in conjunction with a new lease it entered into with Duke Realty in Dallas.
Meridian Business Campus is located south of I-88, west of Route 59 between North Aurora Road and New York Street. The park is home to more than 40 businesses.
Ken Franzese and John Cassidy with Lee & Associates represented Genera Corp. in their transaction, while Jeff Castell with Cassidy Turley represented SMC Corp. Susan Bergdoll, vice president of leasing, represented Duke Realty’s Chicago office in both of the lease renewals.
