North Wells Capital, owner of HUB640, 640 N. Vel R. Phillips Ave. in Milwaukee’s Westown neighborhood, announced today that Indianapolis-based Eight Eleven Group is opening a second Milwaukee office location in the building.
Eight Eleven Group (www.eightelevengroup.com) is a leading human capital solutions firm specializing in technology and business support across a variety of industries. With physical locations in 28 markets across the country, Eight Eleven Group is one of the top 10 largest staffing and consulting firms in the United States. In Wisconsin, the company has 22 direct employees and oversees 330 independent consultants with growth plans to 400 by the end of the year.

Eight Eleven Group moved some Milwaukee employees to HUB640 late last week. Employees will temporarily occupy a spec suite within the building while they await the buildout of the permanent office suite on the third floor. Milwaukee representatives of Eight Eleven Group indicate a strategic growth plan at this new location- with plans to add 5 additional employees this year, and 7-10 next year.

Purchased in 2017 by North Wells Capital, the 120-year-old Milwaukee building was formerly home to the corporate offices of The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. and its longtime Boston Store. Fully renovated in the years following, HUB640 offers a new office lobby, amenity floor inclusive of conferencing center, rooftop deck with indoor/outdoor tenant lounge space, fitness center with locker rooms, showers, and barre room. In late 2020, North Shore Healthcare committed to the building, leasing 23,000 SF of office space on the second floor of the building.
