The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation will host their 12th Annual Career Day November 1st to 2nd, which kicks off at The Standard Club. The event is designed to bolster young careers, allowing students the unique opportunity to network with industry leaders, while gaining valuable exposure to the Chicago real estate world.
Students will be granted inside access to two exclusive real estate development projects. The first will be 811 Fulton, a newly constructed Shapack Partners property. Led by Jeff Shapack and Paige Hennessy of Shapack Partners, this tour will explore the seven-story boutique office building located at the corner of Halsted and Fulton, the gateway to the Fulton Market District. The second site is Chicago’s Old Main Post Office, a 2.8 million-square-foot building at 433 W. Van Buren St., which sat empty for more than two decades as previous developers tried unsuccessfully to convert it. The iconic century-old building is now being developed by New York-based investor, 601W Cos.
New to the Roundtable Luncheon this year is industry leader, Luke Petherbridge, president and CEO of ShopCore Properties. Additionally, students are invited to attend a professional panel featuring rising stars in the real estate industry and a career/internship fair. Throughout the two-day experience, over 100 of the Midwest’s brightest real estate students will convene with top real estate professionals to create an educational experience that lasts far beyond the conclusion of the event. The benefits are twofold: dedicated college and graduate students are provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with the industry’s leading figures, and companies are exposed to new talent.
“The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation has been supporting careers of young talent within the real estate community for the past 20 years,” said Christian Williams, Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation board member and career day chair. “This year’s site visits will provide valuable insight into the future of the Chicago real estate landscape.”
The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation is committed to bolstering the careers of aspiring real estate students and young professionals through its education programs, including mentorships, scholarships, accredited courses, career counseling and other impactful events similar to Career Day.
