El Cubano has purchased two buildings on a 4.1-acre site totaling 96,330 square feet at 5275 S. Archer and 4630 W. 53rd Street in Chicago, Illinois.

The company will occupy the space for their production of corned beef and sausage and 4630 W. 53rd for the distribution of meats such as beef, pork, chicken and lamb to restaurants and grocery stores in Chicago.

They are also planning a potential retail component in the 5275 S. Archer Ave building.  The two buildings presented some important features for El Cubano’s operation such as USDA production space, freezer/cooler warehouse, and close proximity to I-55.

Also, by purchasing a facility within the city limits, El Cubano is able to keep their operation and labor force based in Chicago.

Paine Wetzel – TCN Worldwide Principal, Ed Wabick; Vice President, Terry Lynch, and Associate, Jimena Sayavedra represented El Cubano. Dan Brown, Principal/President of Brown Commercial Group, Inc. represented the Seller, Bobak Sausage Company.
