Bespoke Commercial Real Estate, headquartered in Chicago, announced the promotion of Emily Smith to senior vice president.
“Emily joined Bespoke when we launched in 2013 and she has been a key driver and strategic partner since day one,” said Peter Billmeyer, Bespoke co-founder and managing principal. “She’s a veteran in this business and she has earned her reputation for resourceful problem solving and skilled negotiation. She’s a leader not only for our team, but in our industry.”
Specializing in the downtown Chicago market, Smith leverages over twelve years of experience representing privately held companies and consulting on a wide variety of office and industrial transactions, including lease renegotiations, site selection and strategic planning. Smith works with clients who want more than transactional real estate support, providing ongoing strategic counsel and adding value for clients long after a transaction is completed.
Smith’s passion for business fuels her commitment to empowering fellow businesswomen. Smith has served on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and was awarded “NAWBO Member of the Year.” She was included in the Daily Herald Business Ledger’s “Most Influential Women in Business” in 2013. Smith helped form the NAWBO Spirit Foundation—a 501c3 organization—where she oversees an entrepreneurship program for high school-aged girls. She also helped develop the first Badge to Business program for the Girl Scouts.
