John Kastner, group manager with Brookfield, Wis., engineering firm R.A. Smith National, won the 2014 Young Engineer of the Year Award from the Milwaukee Metro Chapter of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers.
Kastner received his award during a Feb. 18 ceremony.
Kastner has more than 12 years experience in construction and design roles for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, local governments and private developers.
