The Wave Waterpark Resort by EPIC, the first new construction indoor waterpark, is opening in Fargo, North Dakota, in December of 2025.
The Wave has finalized all plans and closed on its final loan allowing construction to begin. The finalized cost for the project has come in at approximately $73.8 million.
EPIC Companies and its investors will be the owner and developer while S&L Hospitality, a Wisconsin company that has worked on similar attractions, will manage the project.
At the core of this resort is its 50,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, attracting visitors from a 180-mile radius to visit. The waterpark is not just for overnight guests; it’s open to the public, too, with day passes available for purchase.
This project has been backed by many local lenders including Bank of North Dakota (approved by the Industrial Commission), Bank Forward, First Western Bank and Trust, Kirkwood Bank & Trust, Bravera Bank, the ND Commerce Development Fund, and private investors.
IMAGINE Hotels by EPIC will be connected to The Wave by EPIC Waterpark Resort. The four-story hotel will feature135 rooms, a ground-floor restaurant with a lounge, dedicated meeting spaces, party rooms, a family entertainment center, high-speed internet, and complimentary parking.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of dining and entertainment options. The on-site restaurant and bar offer a dining experience, while the Family Entertainment Center, complete with mini bowling and other games, is perfect for family fun. For those with a sweet tooth, the Confectionary has an array of treats, and the Snack Shack is ideal for quick bites. The waterparkâs Tiki Bar provides a relaxed spot for adults, and the Kidz Club is a creative space for arts and crafts, catering to younger guests.
The Wave Waterpark Resort is a part of a larger vision that EPIC Companies created called EOLA by EPIC. EOLA is comprised of the first building called Makt that has condos, commercial space, and apartments opening this winter. EOLA also has a 4-acre park in the middle that will cater to the larger community including an ice rink, stage, art/culture elements, walking paths, and more. This a commitment to continually enhance the communities that EPIC develops in and further their mission
