ESD (Environmental Systems Design, Inc.) announced today the addition of two new members to its leadership team.

David Weihing is the new managing director for structural engineering. He brings over 25 years of experience in structural designs for local, national, and international projects and has an exceptional background in operations and business development. ESD is expanding to include structural engineering capabilities as part of its mission to improve society through the built environment.

The new managing director of Human Resources, Julie Nagle, offers over 20 years of senior level human resources experience working for large global technology companies to her role at ESD. Nagle is charged with developing a high-level strategic vision from a human capital perspective as she helps the company navigate the potential challenges of rapid acquisitions of talent.

ESD Executive Chairman Raj Gupta says with Weihing’s structural engineering expertise and Nagle’s background in managing rapid corporate growth, the company is well positioned for anticipated expansion: “I’m confident Dave and Julie will fit nicely into our company culture of respecting everyone, working hard and playing to win. We’re excited to add their leadership skills and industry knowledge to our team as ESD looks to a future of greater capabilities and services for our clients and more opportunities for our employees.”

Weihing most recently served as senior principal and office director at Thornton Tomasetti. He holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.

Nagle has held several senior leadership roles in human resources during her career and joins ESD from her position as chief people officer at Enfusion. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Employment Relations and Psychology from Michigan State University. She also has Certification from the Human Resources Management Program at the University of Stokholm, Sweden.
