Essex closes third West Town deal in November

Essex Realty Group brokered the sale of 2039 W. Superior Street, a new-construction multifamily property located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. This is the third West Town apartment building Essex Realty Group has sold during the month of November.

Engaged to market 2039 W. Superior Street in August 2020, Essex’s team conducted an extensive marketing campaign resulting in nine property tours and three offers. The property was placed under contract after approximately one month on the market and closed approximately 60 days later for $60,000 more than the original asking price. The final sale price was $985,000.

The building consists of one three-bed/two-bath unit, one three-bed/two-bath penthouse unit and one four-bed/three-bath duplex-down unit. Each unit features open floorplans, oversized bedrooms and high ceilings. Recently, two of the units have been rehabbed with refinished hardwood floors, quartz or granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Essex Directors Abe Eilian and Matt Feo represented the sellers, a local investor, in the transaction.

Earlier this month, Essex closed on the sale of two adjacent multifamily properties at 1637 and 1639 W. Huron Street in Chicago.
