Essex Realty Group brokered the sale of 5550 S. Dorchester Ave., a 124-unit, 15-story apartment building in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.
The property, built in 1949, consists of 82 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units; 29 two-unit, one-bathroom units; and 13 studios. It also includes seven parking spaces.
Apartments feature stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, new cabinetry and updated bathrooms. Residents also benefit from a newly renovated lobby with a coffee bar, new fitness center, high-speed Internet, intercom system and lake views.
Essex Realty Group principals Doug Imber and Kate Varde facilitated the transaction alongside managing director Rick Offman.
