Chicago-based multifamily brokerage firm Essex Realty Group, Inc. recently facilitated the sale of 1651 W. Chicago Ave., a mixed-use building located in Chicago’s West Town/Ukrainian Village neighborhood.
The seller, a local investor, hired the brokerage team of Jim Darrow and Jordan Gottlieb to exclusively market the property for sale. Essex led an extensive marketing campaign ultimately selling the property to a local investor in a 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange for $3,045,000. Essex Principals Jim Darrow and Jordan Gottlieb represented both the seller and the buyer.
The four-story property consists of eight units; two commercial spaces and six luxury apartments. The building was erected in 2007 and includes an elevator and 8 indoor parking spaces. The apartments feature custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, quartz counters and in-unit laundry.
