Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group recently awarded 10 scholarships to children/dependents of employees across company, including employees on the firm’s construction, property management and development teams.
The Evergreen Scholarship Fund was created in 2019 to provide educational opportunities for employees and their children/dependents in the form of financial assistance for college tuition. The scholarship committee selected 10 scholarship winners this year, and each recipient will be awarded $1,000 to be used toward their college tuition expenses.
“This initiative is another way for Evergreen to give back to its employees and show appreciation for the hard work and value they bring to our organization and our clients,” said Steve Rappin, president of Evergreen Real Estate Group.
The scholarship winners were Lexye Barcenas, a sophomore at Dominican University; Eric Catalan, a senior at Marquette University; Asia Clark, a junior at North Central University; Austin Hatcher, a junior at University of St. Francis; Michelle Jackson, a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana; Edward Lara, who will be a freshman at Morton College; Emma Ritchie, a senior at Purdue University Northwest; Nicholas Romo, a junior at Triton College; Michelle Treloggen, a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana and Elaine Volpentesta, a senior attending Western Michigan University.
