Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company and Crown Center have reached a lease agreement that will move the headquarters for the Kansas City-based specialty insurance company to the office tower at 2600 Grand Blvd. in Kansas City, Missouri.

FSL and its affiliate, Forrest T. Jones & Company, will occupy 3.5 floors and about 75,000 square feet at the 14-story, 2600 Grand office tower. FSL/FTJ will relocate from its current office one mile away at 3130 Broadway Blvd., a six-story building it has occupied since 1969.

Following a new design and renovation of the space, the companies’ nearly 340 employees plan

to move in by January 2026, said Brad Jones, FSL vice chairman.

FSL is rated A (Excellent) by AM Best and consistently has been recognized as one of the country’s top life-health insurance companies by Ward’s 50, a prominent industry benchmarking firm. The company has expanded in recent years with the formation of Fidelity

Security Life Insurance Company of New York (FSLNY) and Fidelity Security Assurance Company (FSAC), a property and casualty insurer. FSAC is currently licensed in 33 states, eyeing nationwide licensure in the coming years. Those developments have helped make it the right time to move, said Jones.

FSL/FTJ will be moving to one of the most iconic areas of Kansas City, anchored by Hallmark Cards and offering an array of retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Employees will have a short walk to places like Union Station and the National World War I Museum and Memorial, as well as window views of downtown Kansas City and the Federal Reserve Bank complex. The office building will also be a stop on Kansas City’s streetcar expansion route, scheduled to begin operations in 2025.
