Firsel Ross adds commercial real estate associate

The law firm of Firsel Ross announced that Jessica T. Cooper has joined the firm as an associate attorney, providing legal services to Firsel Ross clients from its main office in Bannockburn, Illinois.

“We are delighted that Jessica has joined our firm. She is a talented and enthusiastic attorney whose experience in commercial real estate will be an asset to our growing practice,” said Firsel Ross partner Christine Bolger.

Practicing in real estate since 2014, Cooper initially began working on residential matters, including condominium development projects before transitioning to a wider range of commercial real estate initiatives. Cooper has focused her practice in all aspects of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, financing, leasing, disposition and zoning of commercial, industrial and multi-unit residential properties. In addition, she has extensive experience in handling transactions from their inception, working with title companies to resolve complex title issues through closing.

Cooper, a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, has represented developers, investors, lenders, landlords and tenants to transactions. Prior to joining Firsel Ross, Cooper worked in commercial real estate representation, including the development of condominium projects. During her time at Chicago-Kent College of Law, she worked as a certified mediator in Cook County.

“I am excited about the future of Firsel Ross,” Cooper said. “I look forward to bringing my commercial real estate experience, proactive attitude and problem solving skills to the Firsel Ross team.”

Cooper has been actively involved in fundraising for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) since 2000. In 2013, she co-founded the MMRF’s Chicago Young Professionals Group and remains an active member, continuing to raise significant funds and awareness for multiple myeloma.
