First Hospitality, a national hotel management and development company, has opened the Hyatt House Columbus/OSU-Short North at 633 W. 5th Ave. in Columbus. The lifestyle, extended-stay hotel offers 152 rooms, including 58 suites, just outside the city’s art district and the campus of Ohio State University.
The guest amenities at Hyatt House Columbus OSU, including Peloton bikes in select suites and the fitness center, are centered around health and wellbeing. The hotel’s bike rental program gives guests easy access to the Olentangy Trail and river.
H Bar features creative cocktails and snacks, and H Market offers grab-and-go meals as well as groceries. The hotel is located near its namesake, The Short North Arts District, a culturally-rich destination offering local artisan shops, music, and a vibrant dining and bar scene.
In addition to Hyatt House Columbus OSU, First Hospitality manages five other properties in the area and most recently opened the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Airport in November 2020. First Hospitality will continue to grow its portfolio in Ohio over the next year with development projects including a Hilton dual-brand hotel in Toledo and a Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in Dayton.
