First tenants move into Opus’ spec industrial facility in Kansas

The Opus Group recently announced that Gateway Classic Cars and Lanter Delivery Systems, Inc. as the first tenants in the recently completed speculative warehouse and distribution building at 56 Commerce Center. Located in Olathe, Kan., Gateway Classic Cars and Lanter moved into 56 Commerce Center earlier this year and now occupy more than 85,000 square feet in the 230,000-square-foot industrial building.

Gateway Classic Cars, the largest seller of collectible and exotic automobiles in the world, occupies 38,500 square feet within the second building of 56 Commerce Center. The company has 3,000 classics and exotic cars for sale daily and occupies 900,000 square feet of showroom space in 18 markets in the country. This is the company’s first location in the Kansas City-area and the newest addition to its 17 existing locations throughout the United States. Opus collaborated with Gateway Classic Cars to tailor the space for their specific needs, including a showroom for vehicles and automobile storage.

56 Commerce Center serves as a regional shipping hub for Lanter’s local automotive, agricultural and industrial clients. The company provides specialized overnight unattended delivery logistic services, ensuring deliveries reach their intended destination by the following morning. Lanter occupies 48,500 square feet. Opus worked closely with Lanter to optimize the space for increased logistics provisions, including an additional 30 truck stalls and expanded dock door count.
