Glendale, Ariz.-based Fitness 19 was founded in 2003 to offer affordable, family friendly health club facilities that include state-of-the art cardio, strength and free-weight equipment. The company’s website lists eight other locations in Illinois, with one other urban Chicago location on Narragansett Avenue.
The Broadway at Surf is a 134,223-square-foot multi-level urban retail center located on the southwest corner of Broadway Avenue and Surf Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The center is also situated immediately north of Clark and Diversey streets, one of the busiest pedestrian intersections in the Lakeview neighborhood. Anchors include Walmart Neighborhood Market, Bed Bath & Beyond and T.J.Maxx. The lease brings the center to 93 percent occupancy, with only small shop space available.
