Fitzgerald Earles Architects and Associates is overseeing the planning and construction administration for Apple, which is expanding to more than 15,000 square feet at 225 W. Wacker Drive in Chicago.
The project involves expanding Apple’s existing office space by 4,200 square feet to create two conference rooms, four private offices, 15 work stations and support spaces for the personal computer, mobile phone and software company’s iAD division. iAD is an advertising program for companies trying to reach millions of iPhone and iPod touch users.
FEAA is coordinating the implementation of Apple’s new space, which was designed by Studio Architecture. FEAA is overseeing construction documentation, permitting and construction administration for the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in January, with completion in the first quarter of 2013. Executive Construction Inc. is the selected general contractor for the project.
