Last week, representatives from Focus, Shapack Partners, Gensler and Walton Street Capital joined city of Chicago officials in a groundbreaking ceremony for 167 N. Green Street. The 17-story office property will be home to several large companies, including WeWork, who will occupy 140,000 of the building’s 750,000 square feet.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this project and to be involved in an area of the city that is experiencing such exponential growth and momentum,” said Tim Anderson. “As a company, we are always looking for ways to enhance the communities we work in. Shapack Partners share in that goal and have led in transforming Fulton Market.
With the largest floor plates available in Fulton Market, 167 N. Green Street will offer 360-degree views with floor-to-ceiling glass on all sides, 13-foot-plus ceiling heights and the availability for private tenant terraces. The property will seek LEED Gold certification.
Building amenities will include a tenant lounge, an outdoor terrace with rooftop garden, on-site parking and a fitness center featuring a yoga studio. A flexible event space on the top floor can be laid out to accommodate town hall-style conferences or a full-size basketball court. The building will also have up to 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Located at the epicenter of Fulton Market, between Green and Halsted Streets, the property has direct access to the neighborhood’s amenities, restaurants and transportation.
