Meridian Design Build recently completed the design-build renovation of a 115,000-square-foot building at 120 W. Palatine Rd. in Wheeling for Richelieu Foods, a private label and contract package food company.
The new plant has nine refrigerated loading docks, a 20,500-square-foot refrigerated warehouse, 33,500 square feet of production space constructed to meet stringent USDA standards, and a 3,250-square-foot freezer.
Meridian completed the conversion of a warehouse to a refrigerated production space, installation of new high-speed doors, installation of new stainless steel floor drains and epoxy flooring, and a significant amount of electrical, compressed air, and process water distribution to accommodate Richelieu’s production equipment.
