Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Fortus Group plans to break ground in July on The Flats at Austin Landing, a 275-unit apartment project in the Austin Landing development in Montgomery County, Ohio.
The county is located near the Cincinnati and Dayton markets.
The $29 million project will feature a private pool and sun deck, fire pits, fountain, community clubhouse, expansive green space, a dog park, fitness and amenity areas and secured parking. Apartments will come in a variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom options using open-concept designs and equipped with hard-plank floors and granite counter tops. The community will be geared toward the “renter by choice” who desires upscale amenities in a walkable environment.
“We’re thrilled to invest in Miami Township; the amenities offered at Austin Landing are unequaled in the market,” said Fortus Partner Christian Sexton in a written statement.
Construction on The Flats at Austin Landing will begin in July, and the first apartments are slated to be occupied in 2016. Fortus Group has named Buckingham Companies, an Indianapolis-based full-service real estate company, as general contractor for the development. Buckingham Companies will also serve as property manager for the apartments once completed.
