MARS Corporate Center, a Southfield, Mich., building managed by Friedman Integrated Real Estate Services, has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR certification.
The center, a 190,084-square-foot office building at 25200 Telegraph Road in Southfield, performs in the top 25 percent of similar facilities across the nation in energy efficiency. Commercial buildings that earn the ENERGY STAR certification consume an average of 35 percent less energy than do typical buildings.
“Through this achievement, we have demonstrated our commitment to environmental stewardship while also lowering our energy costs,” said Brian Bass, director of asset management, in a written statement.
