Friedman Real Estate completed a new lease for 41,400 square feet of office space at 601 W. Fort St. in Detroit.
The Fort Street building was completed in 1912 and completely renovated in 2016. It features a layout with wide-open spaces, oversized operational windows and skylights providing abundant natural light and fresh air. The property offers inspirational creative workspaces with exposed brick, wood, and steel beams preserving the historic character of the building.
It will be occupied by a publicly traded international sea and air logistics company. The building is located in close proximity to the historic Michigan Central Station, currently in the final phase of restoration by Ford Motor Company.
The boutique-style building is five blocks from Detroit’s Campus Martius Park and provides easy access to restaurants, entertainment, and the riverfront.
Friedman’s Steve Eisenshtadt and Andrew Bower represented the landlord in the transaction.
