Schaumburg, Illinois–based law firm Gardi & Haught, Ltd. has hired Marta Truskolaska, Esq. as an associate attorney on their real estate law team. At Gardi & Haught, Truskolaska will be assigned to business/corporate law cases as well as commercial and residential real estate clients.
“Marta has a passion for real estate law and holds an LL.M (master’s degree) in real estate law in addition to her JD,” said Hiten Gardi, partner at Gardi & Haught. “She brings exceptional experience and knowledge to the position and her dedication and commitment to her specialty comes through in everything she does and the clients she sees.”
During the summer of 2015, Truskolaska worked in the Fair Housing Legal Clinic at the John Marshall Law School. There she drafted complaints, motions and pre-trial interrogatories. She also assisted attorneys with case management, strategy and client counseling.
The following year, she served as an extern for Honorable John C. Griffin, Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division. She received invaluable experience discussing cases and researching with the judge as well as assisting with the trial process.
Truskolaska earned both her J.D. and LL.M in real estate law with honors simultaneously from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and a member of Volunteers in Teaching Adults at Oakton Community College. She is also fluent in Polish and conversant in Spanish. Truskolaska resides in the near north suburbs with her family.
