After three decades in Detroit, Gensler has embarked on its next chapter by relocating to 1265 Griswold St. in the city’s Capitol Park neighborhood, underscoring the firm’s commitment to the vibrancy and evolution of the city.
The office is positioned on a dynamic intersection near key partners and projects and across from one of the city’s most beloved green spaces. Engaging with the streetscape on the ground floor of the historic Bamlet Building, Gensler Detroit’s storefront-style presence provides visibility into the bustling activity of design work being created while also serving as an open door to collaborators.
“The new office is a platform to catalyze and celebrate innovation as Gensler works with partners to shape the future of the city,” said John Waller, Managing Director of Gensler Detroit. “We know that great innovation comes from great collaborations, and we’re excited to welcome clients, civic leaders, and neighbors into our creative environment.”
The office offers a mix of spaces for focused work, teamwork, and gathering; a resource library of sustainable design materials; and a 3D printing workshop – together forming a “living lab” that supports the development of impactful architecture, interior design, and urban planning projects that ultimately drive the city forward.
