Thanks in part to the efforts of the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation and the City of St. Cloud, a manufacturer of farming equipment based in Germany plans to invest more than $20 million in a new manufacturing facility in St. Cloud, Minn.
The company will bring more than 100 jobs to the city at the same time.
Geringhoff’s St. Cloud facility will be the first U.S.-based operation for the manufacturer. The 100 jobs will come in the first phase of the company’s expansion, with more jobs expected to be added in the near future.
“We’re honored to welcome Geringhoff to this area,” said St. Cloud mayor Dave Kleis. “This is a great day for the city of St. Cloud and the greater St. Cloud region. Choosing St. Cloud speaks to our area’s strong business community and top-notch quality of life.”
Geringhoff was founded in Ahlen, Germany. Its St. Cloud location will manufacture corn-harvesting equipment and other farm equipment. The 110,000-square-foot facility is located in St. Cloud’s Airport Industrial Park.
