Gillespie Group has begun construction on The Outfield, an 80-unit multifamily development at Cooley Stadium, the baseball field that serves as home to the Lansing Lugnuts in Lansing, Michigan.
The Outfield will rise from right center field in Cooley Law School Stadium. It will feature more than 80 residential units.
The development is part of a public-private partnership that includes the Gillespie Group, Lansing Lugnuts, Michigan Economic Development Corp., Lansing Economic Area Partnerships and the city of Lansing. The Outfield development is expected to be complete in the spring of 2016.
