Kenneth Bowen has joined Grandbridge Real Estate Capital‘s Columbus, Ohio, commercial mortgage loan origination team. Bowen is based in the company’s 150 East Broad St. office in Columbus.
As a Senior Vice President/Office Manager with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, Bowen will originate commercial mortgages for placement with a broad variety of capital sources including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, insurance companies and banks. He is also responsible for growing the Columbus office to better serve borrowers throughout the state of Ohio and beyond.
Prior to joining Grandbridge, Bowen owned his own commercial mortgage brokerage and consulting firm. He also spent several years originating for Oak Grove Capital and its acquirer, JLL. The bulk of Bowen’s mortgage banking career was with Red Capital Group and its predecessor Banc One Capital Funding, where he served in various senior roles including Chief Underwriter and Head of Mortgage Production. He is also experienced in owning and managing multifamily properties, which gives him an understanding of both sides of the CRE equation.
In his early career, Bowen spent 10 years in the fee appraisal business, giving him a solid education in all classes of real estate assets. He earned the MAI designation in 1991 and has maintained it since then. Bowen earned his bachelor’s degree at Yale College and is a graduate of the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York.
