Graycor promotes VP of performance excellence and ESG

Michelle Palys

Graycor is pleased to announce that Michelle Palys has been promoted to vice president of performance excellence and environmental, social and governance (ESG). Palys has worked at Graycor since 2012 as a quality manager and most recently as business excellence manager. In her expanded role, Palys is responsible for developing and implementing high-impact performance excellence strategies and action plans to meet Graycor’s ongoing continuous improvement, performance excellence and organizational development goals. She will also serve as a member of Graycor’s Executive Committee.

Palys will also lead the development and execution of Graycor’s ESG strategy and plan, focusing on strengthening our sustainability attributes across the business and furthering our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts with our workforce and supplier/subcontractor community. As Graycor’s GC Council Representative for Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates (ASA) Chicago, Michelle is committed to developing, supporting and advocating for subcontractors.

Palys holds a degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, a master’s degree in construction project management from the University of Manchester, UK, and completed graduate studies in quality and productivity management at the Central Japan Industries Association (ChuSanRen) in Nagoya, Japan. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Michelle is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is certified by the American Society of Quality as a manager of quality and organizational excellence, and obtained a credential to lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Northwestern University.
