Newmark Grubb Zimmer has been awarded the Legacy Award from the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. The award is directed towards honoring longevity, quality services, and community involvement in small businesses in the Kansas City region.

The firm currently manages more than 7.1 million square feet of office, medical, industrial, retail and educational property and serves as corporate real estate advisor for an assortment of local, regional, national and international companies.

The NNSA National Security Campus, Sprint World Headquarters Campus and the Village West tourism, entertainment and retail district — each valued at $1 billion or more, have been some of the most iconic developments the firm has been responsible for in the Midwest region.

Each year, the philanthropic arm of Newmark Grubb Zimmer, NGZ Cares, selects local organizations to support through financial assistance or service projects. Newmark Grubb Zimmer employees are involved not only in the selection process but in the year-long planning of numerous events designed to raise money and awareness for these causes. Since 2011, NGZ Cares has worked on the behalf of KU Cancer Center, Wayside Waifs, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kansas City Zoo Penguin Project, Arts KC, Humane Society, Christmas in October, Habitat For Humanity, Catholic Charities and Rainbow Center.
