Led by senior facility manager Scott Livingstone, the Toledo Transmision team with the Southfield, Mich.-based office of Grubb & Ellis Company earned that real estate firm’s Team of the Year award for the work it completed in 2010 with the General Motors facility in Toledo, Ohio.
This team earned its honor during the office’s Jan. 20 awards banquet held in Ferndale, Mich.
Other members of the Toledo Transmission team are Nick Matiash, facility manager; Lisa Monaghan, facility services coordinator; Robert Curry, facility supervisor; Charles Lawhorn, facility supervisor; Rick Lephew, facility supervisor; Martha Netschke, facility supervisor; Darrell Rowe, facility supervisor; and Mike Steele, facility supervisor.
“The team has forged a path of success by improving operations from the beginning,” said James Vetter, vice present and account manager at Grubb & Ellis, who nominated Livingstone and his team for the award. “They consistently keep the 24/7 operations of the plant running smoothly by quickly responding to the customer’s needs. Their accomplishments and dedication were a tremendous benefit to our ability to win a 5-year expanded services contract at this site.”
As part of this contract extension, General Motors increased the facilities managment scope of work to include housekeeping services, fleet management and resource management programs. General Motors also awarded Grubb & Ellis an additional 500,000 square feet, bringing the total area under management to 5.5 million square feet.”
