Grubb & Ellis Company recently opened an owned office in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the company’s national strategy to expand its presence in key markets. Benton Benalcazar, a 25-year industry veteran, will lead the office. He is a senior vice president with Grubb & Ellis.
“Establishing an owned office in Columbus gives us a presence in the three largest markets in the state. Together with our historically strong office in Cleveland and our recently established Cincinnati office, Grubb & Ellis has the capabilities to serve its clients’ needs throughout Ohio,” said Shawn Mobley, president of brokerage services with Grubb & Ellis.
“Benton has an excellent track record both in founding successful local real estate companies and in making tremendous contributions as part of national firms. I couldn’t be more pleased to have him on board,” Mobley said.
Benalcazar most recently spent six years as a senior vice president with Equity, a full-service real estate firm and developer specializing in healthcare and retail properties with offices in Ohio, Florida and Texas.
Previously, he founded Logos Realty Advisors in 2004, a commercial real estate investor and developer, after seven years with Adena Commercial, which he co-founded in 1997 and was the firm’s top producer.
