Midwest Real Estate News just released its annual Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame issue. This year’s issue highlights 70 new inductees, the leaders of the Midwest’s commercial real estate industry. We’ll be running these profiles throughout the year. Here’s the first, written by Joe Pelegrini:

Years in the industry: 35
Why he’s Hall of Fame material: It’s not easy to surprise Lawrence McLaughlin. He boasts 35 years of combined experience in real estate-related industries. Simply put, he provides top service to his clients. And because of this, they keep coming back.
McLaughlin has represented developers of commercial, industrial and residential real estate. He is also a trusted advisor for clients dealing with acquisitions, land use, entitlements and a plethora of other legal issues.
It’s no surprise that McLaughlin’s peers respect him. He has been honored, for instance, by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. A direct quote from Chambers USA from 2014 reads, “ Sources describe him as an expert in the field with a great depth of knowledge.”

McLaughlin also represented Schostak in its acquisition and financing of 65 Applebees Restaurants.
