Hamilton Partners plans to build a 185,000-square-foot speculative distribution center on an 11.51 acre land site in DuPage County.
Hamilton Partners purchased the site at 340 County Line Road in Bensenville from Ridge Property Trust on March 12, according to CBRE. The building Hamilton Partners plans to build will feature 32-foot heights, 59 exterior docks and parking for 51 trailers and 159 cars.
CBRE’s Matt Mulvihill, Kevin Segerson and Cal Payne represented Ridge Property Trust in the sale.
There was 7.9 million square feet of local industrial development under construction at the end of 2013, according to a report by Colliers International. The O’Hare industrial vacancy rate was 8.4 percent at the end of last year, better than the Chicago-area average of 8.7 percent, according to Colliers. With nearly 140 million square feet of inventory, O’Hare is the largest local industrial market.
