Luke J. Petherbridge, the CEO of Link Logistics, will be the featured keynote speaker for the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s (HEEF) Networking Night fundraising event on November 10 at the Merchandise Mart’s Marshall’s Landing.
HEEF’s Networking Night offers commercial real estate professionals a unique opportunity to advance and expand their industry connections in a casual setting, hear insights on the state of the market from the leader of one of the largest U.S. industrial property owners, and support the overarching goals of the Foundation. The program is being hosted on the first night of the Foundation’s two-day Career Day program for college students.
The event will include a one-on-one keynote discussion featuring Petherbridge, who leads Link Logistics, the owner and operator of the largest U.S.-only portfolio of logistics real estate with a portfolio of more than 500 million square feet and a nearly $9 billion development pipeline. In 2017, Petherbridge co-founded CoreGiving, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger across the U.S., where he currently serves as a board member. Peter Borzak, CEO of Pine Tree, will interview Petherbridge.
The conversation between Petherbridge and Borzak is expected to focus on Luke’s career path that led him from Australia to being one of the most influential leaders in commercial real estate. He will also discuss the state of the U.S. industrial market, as well as the state of the macro economy and how he is positioning his company to deal with the economic uncertainty that lies ahead.
The Premier Sponsors for the 2022 Networking Event are Old Second National Bank, Wintrust, North American Real Estate, and Iron Ridge Partners.
This year’s event is in lieu of the Foundation’s Annual Dinner, last held before COVID. The Foundation anticipates a return to the Annual Dinner in 2023 and is hosting the networking event in order to raise critical funds for gastrointestinal cancer research at Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and the Foundation’s programs.
The cost for Networking Night registration is $250 per person. The price of admission includes signature cocktails and light bites. The Foundation offers various opportunities to sponsor both Networking Night and Career Day. The Foundation also welcomes donations. Each gift is an important contribution to support its dual mission.
The event will be held in conjunction with Career Day, a Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation signature educational program for college students. Career Day will take place November 10 and 11.
