The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation (HEEF) is engaged in two amazing missions. The organization accelerates the career paths of real estate students through hands-on education programs including mentorships, career day, real estate challenge, Eisenberg Scholars scholarships and so much more. HEEF also works with the Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago to fund breakthrough gastrointestinal cancer research.
Each year, approximately 150 cancer patients participate in HEEF’s programming, whether through the tissue bank, gene sequencing, OncoSET program or clinical trials. The organization is seeking generous donors willing to purchase Cancer Care Packages. These packages contain practical comfort items to help ease the symptoms of GI cancer patients enrolled in HEEF funded programs, on or after their initial visit/treatment.
The goal is to make life a bit better for cancer patients and put a smile on their face. The cost to create each Cancer Care Package is $100. In advance of HEEF’s 21st Annual Dinner this month in Chicago, those interested can follow this link to make a donation of $100 or whatever amount they can. Each dollar brings the organization closer to personalized medicine, life-saving treatments and making cancer patients more comfortable.
