The HBA announced Brian P. Liston, M.B.A., J.D. of Liston & Tsantilis, P.C. in Chicago as the 2014 HBA Lawyer of the Year. Brian will be honored at our annual Scholarship Ball on November 8th at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel.
Brian specializes in eminent domain and property tax litigation. His firm has been a member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors receiving Awards for Excellence, and recognizing him for exemplary legal work related to Incentives and Land Use projects throughout the Midwest.
His colleagues in the Leading Lawyers Network ranked Liston & Tsantilis as the #1 firm in the State of Illinois in 2011, 2012 & 2013 in Land Use law. Recently, Liston & Tsantilis was recognized by the Wall Street Journal (2014) as one of the Top 25 Land Use Firms in America. Brian previously served as an Assistant Attorney General to the Illinois Department of Transportation and as Deputy Counsel for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, and is also the author of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) chapter on Eminent Domain.
Brian has been married for 21 years to his wife Kiki Liston. They are blessed with four children – Kathryn, Patricia, Sophia and Jimmy, and he is involved in numerous activities within the community. Congratulations, Brian!
