Lowenbaum REP recently represented Hendrick Metal Products in a 53,000-square-foot lease at 1320 Gateway Drive in Elgin.
Hendrick, which had been located in 73,000 square feet at 2555 Decade Court in Elgin since its acquisition of Hagan Metal in 2007, moved across the street when its lease commenced earlier this spring.
“Like many of our clients today, Hendrick was looking for more efficient space,” said Lowenbaum REP’s Principal Ed Lowenbaum. “This was a perfect fit and a very good deal as both buildings had recently traded hands.”
Built in 2001, Hendrick’s new facility is a fully air-conditioned manufacturing building with heavy power. The firm, which is involved in the design, manufacture and fabrication of perforated metal, relocated its crane to the new building. In addition, the loading area was modified in order to accommodate product deliveries.
Lowenbaum and Jason Talanian represented the tenant in the transaction while Steve Bass with Lee & Associates represented the landlord, Exeter Property Group.
