Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based Hiffman National surpassed 100 million square feet of commercial real estate under management, reaching more than 104 million square feet across 665 office, medical office, industrial and retail properties nationwide as of September 2026.
The milestone marks significant growth for Hiffman National, which launched its property management platform in 2005 with just four assignments in Illinois and, today, manages a national portfolio serving institutional and private owners across the country.
“Surpassing 100 million square feet is an exciting milestone for Hiffman National and reflects the trust our clients continue to place in our team,” said Carrie Szarzynski, executive managing director and head of management services at Hiffman. “Much of our growth has come from longstanding clients asking us to manage additional assets as they expand into new markets. That has allowed us to grow organically alongside them while bringing the same hands-on approach and level of service to properties across the country.”
Recent growth includes Hiffman National’s expansion into Arizona, a new state for the firm, through a 1.8 million-square-foot industrial management assignment. Hiffman, which has long had a significant presence in Chicago’s suburbs, also recently added another downtown Chicago office assignment, a 167,000-square-foot property. Additional industrial and flex assignments have further contributed to the firm’s expanding portfolio.
Hiffman National operates out of offices in Chicago; Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis; Orlando and Tampa, Fla.; Houston and Fort Worth, Texas; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla.; Kansas City, Kan.; Savannah, Ga.; and Charlotte, N.C., combining local market expertise with the resources of its broader management platform.
In Houston, Hiffman National’s management portfolio grew to more than 2.3 million square feet earlier this year, including the addition of Saddlebrook Place, a 200,155-square-foot, four-building office campus in northwest Houston. Hiffman is providing property and construction management as the campus undergoes comprehensive repositioning.
Supporting Hiffman National’s growing portfolio are more than 160 employees across management services, including property management, facility management, property accounting and lease administration, and advisory services, including lender services, project services and workplace solutions. As Hiffman expands into new markets, the firm works with clients, partners and team members, as well as its recruiting team, to identify local talent that fits both Hiffman’s culture and the needs of each assignment.
